This year will mark the 30th anniversary of LOROS hospice, which cares for terminally ill people in Leics and Rutland. My husband, Chris, died there in 2003 so I decided I would join the fundraising campaign, called 30 for 30, by performing 30 ‘pop up’ gigs around Leicestershire. In September I completed the first batch of ‘pop up’ gigs, raising £1884 for LOROS and will be doing some more in November…. see my Facebook page for details….
I brought Tom Jones to tears on BBC's The Voice, supported Bob Dylan and Robert Plant, sing Sandy Denny songs in the reformed Fotheringay, perform as lead singer/songriter with femfolk band the Poozies and occasionally front blues combo Strange Blues but I still find time to bring my solo repertoire to venues around the country !!
LOVE RAT….. NEW 6 track 'LOVE RAT' e.p. released in September ….Tracks include 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood' & 'Walk on By’ plus 4 new songs!! I’ve got a string of dates to support the release of my ‘LOVE RAT’ ep - See Gig Guide……
Dec 6-12 I will be touring again with FOTHERINGAY (www.fotheringay.com/#!tour/c1ehy). Personnel include original members Jerry Donahue, Gerry Conway and Pat Donaldson plus newbies me, Kathryn Roberts and PJ Wright…. I can't wait to sing those wonderful Sandy Denny songs again!
